Stream Deck: a free Encorly plug-in now comes with the app. Choose Help › Install Stream Deck Plug-in… and you get a ready-made layout for your deck, with Play / Stop, Next and Previous, your setlist, timecode, time left, Grid View pads and more. Plug in a Stream Deck and the app offers to install it for you. Needs the Stream Deck app 7.3 or later.
After a stop, Play restarts the current song from the top. If you pick another song first, Play plays that one. You can change this in Settings › Playback › Transport › After a stop, Play…
Improvements
Show Mode: PLAY only plays and is dimmed while the show is playing; STOP only stops.
With Pro Tools Smart Link and no MMC, Play after a stop starts noticeably faster.
Fixes
No more spinning wheel for a second or two when pressing Play, dragging markers into a group or clicking markers with Pro Tools Smart Link connected.
Stop and Panic never start a DAW that is already stopped.
The DAW Setup Assistant now opens by itself when you launch the app, until your DAW is set up. It waits for other windows to close, never opens during a show, and skips itself if your DAW is already connected. Tick Don’t show this at launch to turn it off; it is always in the Help menu.
The DAW Setup Assistant now leads with the Pro Tools panel plug-in: four steps that tick themselves off as they work, with MTC as the fallback. The User Guide shows the same steps.
Choosing Remote (works anywhere) on the Companion QR code without Encorly Anywhere now offers Get Encorly Anywhere right there, and the remote QR code appears in the same window once your purchase is confirmed.
Every buy button now reads Buy it with the price and sits right next to what it is for.
Opening the app from the disk image or Downloads now offers to move it to Applications, where updates and the Pro Tools plug-in work properly.
While the 14-day taster covers a paid tool, its banner has a Keep it button that opens that tool’s checkout. The banner turns amber in the last three days.
Fixes
After you activate your licence, paid tools lose their padlock straight away instead of after a restart.
Groups and Super Groups built from the markers in your session, with a full markers table and drag-and-drop throughout.
Save and load setlists, groups and templates. Bundle export for moving a show between machines.
Automatic backups and crash recovery.
DAW control
Pro Tools over Smart Link (PTSL), with automatic reconnect. The Setlist Organiser panel plug-in ships inside the app and installs itself into the Avid Plug-Ins folder; relaunch Pro Tools once.
Reaper, Logic Pro and Bitwig Studio transport and locate.
Marker import, push and rescan. Click a row to locate. Stop markers end each song on the mark.
Show Mode for the stage: current song, next song and the countdown to the stop.
Companion
Phone and tablet Companion in a browser over the LAN. Scan a QR code to pair. Grid, transport and live timecode.
Pairing is on by default, and control is off until you allow it.
Encorly Anywhere, an optional subscription, connects the Companion from any network through the Encorly relay: $9.99 a month or $110 a year.
Tools
The Tools tab, with the built-in session tools included in the licence.
Encorly Tools on sale in the app: Region Durations ($49) and Section Transfer ($79.99).
Trial and licence
The trial is the full application with no expiry. Each session runs twenty minutes, then playback, timecode and networking stop; relaunch for another.
One licence covers a main rig and a backup, with a year of updates.
